Nephrology
Nephrologists treat diseases of the kidneys. They also administer dialysis, treatment for patients with kidney failure, which is usually caused by diabetes, high blood pressure, cysts, and glomerulonephritis. Dialysis removes toxins from the body when the kidneys are unable to do so.
