Centerpoint Health - Georgetown

The labor and delivery suites at Centerpoint Health Women & Babies - Georgetown are thoughtfully designed to provide a calm, comfortable and secure environment for your birthing experience. Each private suite blends modern medical technology with a warm, home-like atmosphere to help you feel relaxed and supported throughout your stay.

We’ve equipped our rooms with features that promote peace and comfort, including soft, adjustable lighting and soothing sound machines to help create a tranquil space. Spacious layouts and cozy furnishings make it easy for you and your support person to settle in. The private bathrooms offer added convenience during labor. From the moment you arrive to the moment you meet your baby, our goal is to make your experience as safe, serene and memorable as possible.

Centerpoint Health - Winchester

At Centerpoint Health Women & Babies - Winchester, we believe that childbirth is a family experience. We make accommodations to be sure the family and friends you'd like to be there can share in the experience.

Our birthing unit provides expectant families with unique accommodations you won't find anywhere else in Central Kentucky. With its first class amenities, our center offers everything you would expect to find in a “big city” facility but with personalized individual care only a smaller facility can provide. Centerpoint Health Women & Babies - Winchester is a birthing facility like no other in Central Kentucky.

Remember that labor can be very overwhelming and emotional, and to provide the safest delivery it is best to limit visitors to only those there to provide support. We ask that you choose only two individuals to be present in the actual delivery.

Centerpoint Health Women & Babies - Winchester permits 24-hour visitation for your primary support people. All other visitors should follow the hospital visitation policy. Your new baby's siblings may visit with an adult. Please let your family know that no other children under 14 years old are allowed in the birthing center. This includes babies being held and in strollers. Anyone sick or recently exposed (within the past three weeks) to an infectious disease (such as chicken pox) should not visit our unit.

Triage Area

There is limited space, so we ask that only one support person be by your side. 

Labor and Delivery Room

No more than three visitors are allowed at a time. The staff may request that fewer visitors stay, depending on the conditions of your baby. Visitors also may be asked to step out if you'd like them to or to provide care. 

During Delivery

Three visitors may be present at the time of your baby's birth. 

After Your Baby Is Born

You will need some time to physically and emotionally recover from labor and delivery. Following your baby's birth, you will be able to be together to bond and get to know each other. Your baby will then go to the Nursery to be measured and weighed. After your doctor completes your care following delivery and your baby has been examined and foot printed (for security purposes), your support person will be able to hold your baby. You may stay for an hour or two in the Labor and Delivery Room, your nurse will check on you during your recovery. Then you will be transferred to a Postpartum Room where your family and friends can visit with you.
