Centerpoint Health Names Longtime Leader Katherine Leigh Chief Nursing Officer for Centerpoint Health – Winchester

WINCHESTER, Ky. (June 2, 2026) — Centerpoint Health has named Katherine “Kathy” Leigh, RN, BSN, MBA, CPHQ, as chief nursing officer for Centerpoint Health – Winchester, promoting a longtime internal leader whose nearly two decades of service have helped shape clinical excellence and patient care across the organization.

Kathy joined the Centerpoint Health system in 2008 and has advanced through a series of nursing, quality and operational leadership roles throughout the market. Her promotion reflects Centerpoint Health’s continued commitment to developing and growing leaders from within the organization.

Over the course of her career, Kathy Leigh has provided leadership for critical care, emergency services, bariatric inpatient operations, quality and patient safety initiatives, and market-level operational strategies supporting the system’s four Central Kentucky hospitals. Most recently, she served as assistant administrator at Centerpoint Health – Georgetown, where she played a key role in operational leadership, physician collaboration, patient experience initiatives and strategic growth planning.

As chief nursing officer, Kathy will oversee nursing operations and clinical quality initiatives at Centerpoint Health – Winchester, with a continued focus on patient safety, workforce engagement, operational performance and delivering high-quality patient-centered care.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Business Administration and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
