GEORGETOWN, Ky. (August 20, 2026) – Centerpoint Health – Georgetown has opened a new Sleep Center, bringing in-lab sleep services back to Georgetown and expanding access to advanced testing for patients experiencing sleep-related health concerns.

The new center features comfortable, modern rooms designed for overnight evaluations and monitoring. Following testing, patients receive personalized recommendations to help address their condition and improve the quality of their sleep.

“Many people experience excessive daytime sleepiness caused by disrupted sleep, including snoring and breathing difficulties,” said Bruce Tassin, market president and chief executive officer of Centerpoint Health. “Patients can expect a warm, welcoming environment where trained sleep professionals work to identify sleep disorders and help provide the answers they need to sleep better and improve their overall health.”

Services offered at the Centerpoint Health Sleep Center include:

  • Overnight sleep studies
  • Home sleep apnea testing
  • CPAP education and mask fitting
  • Maintenance of Wakefulness Tests
  • Multiple Sleep Latency Tests for narcolepsy

Sleep disorders can affect more than a person’s energy level. When left untreated, certain conditions may contribute to high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke and other serious health concerns.

“Many people live with poor sleep for years without realizing an underlying sleep disorder may be the cause,” said Henry “Hank” Preston, MD, medical director of the Centerpoint Health Sleep Center and a board-certified sleep medicine physician. “Through advanced testing, we can better understand what is disrupting a patient’s sleep and develop an individualized care plan to help them feel and function better.”
