Central Kentucky Hospitals Unite as Centerpoint Health
January 15, 2026
New name and brand reflects growth and transformation of community hospitals, designed to expand access and create a more seamless patient experience
GEORGETOWN, PARIS, VERSAILLES and WINCHESTER, Kentucky (January 15, 2026) – Lifepoint Health’s four Central Kentucky hospitals – Bluegrass Community Hospital, Bourbon Community Hospital, Clark Regional Medical Center and Georgetown Community Hospital – today announced they are strengthening their collaboration by unifying under a new name and brand Centerpoint Health.
“Centerpoint Health reflects the hospitals’ geographic location in central Kentucky, our shared commitment to provide patient-centered care for our communities, our transformation from standalone community hospitals to a regional health system, and the vibrant, heart-shaped icon visually unifies the system with our parent organization Lifepoint Health,” said Bruce Tassin, Centerpoint Health’s market president and CEO of Centerpoint Health – Georgetown and Centerpoint Health – Versailles.
As part of the change, starting today, each hospital will carry the Centerpoint name along with its city name:
-
-
- Bluegrass Community Hospital is now Centerpoint Health – Versailles
- Bourbon Community Hospital is now Centerpoint Health – Paris
- Clark Regional Medical Center is now Centerpoint Health – Winchester
- Georgetown Community Hospital is now Centerpoint Health – Georgetown
-
Additionally, all employed practices and providers will be united under Centerpoint Medical Group, and the practice names will be updated to include Centerpoint and specialty of the practice.
“Our hospitals have been working together as a market for many years, and this rebrand further advances our transformation into a regional healthcare delivery system,” said Matt Smith, CEO, Centerpoint Health – Winchester. “This change will create a more seamless experience for our patients and positions our hospitals and sites for care for growth well into the future.”
The new name and logo, pictured below, is rich in symbolism. The heart icon represents the organization’s caring and inclusive culture,
mission of making communities healthier and nearly 1700 team members who are the heart of its system; the larger dot at the center of the heart represents the system’s commitment to patient-centered care; and the icon’s vibrant spectrum of colors conveys movement, representing the organization’s focus on innovating and shaping the future of healthcare delivery.
Hospital leaders assure its communities that the name and logo changes do not signify any ownership or operational changes, and patients will continue to have access to the same providers and services as before.
“We are fortunate to be part of a larger organization that provides continued investment to enable our hospitals and communities to thrive, and we are grateful to Lifepoint Health for supporting this exciting project,” said Tommy Haggard, CEO of Centerpoint Health – Paris, which was among Lifepoint’s founding hospitals in 1999. “Centerpoint Health positions us for the future – stronger, more coordinated and connected, and better able to meet the evolving healthcare needs across the Central Kentucky region, now and for generations to come.”
The rebrand kicks off today and will be phased in over the next several weeks. To learn more about Centerpoint Health and stay up to date with developments, visit CenterpointHealth.com.
